Uungula Wind Farm

PROJECT: Uungula Wind Farm

CLIENT: Transgrid

LOCATION: New South Wales

YEAR(S): 2025-2026

SCOPE: To design, manufacture and deliver 330kV Current Transformersand Capacitive Voltage Transformers with integrated Power Quality Monitors

BACKGROUND: Uungula Wind Farm is a large‑scale renewable energy project located in central‑west New South Wales and forms part of the region’s expanding renewable energy portfolio. The project plays an important role in increasing clean energy generation capacity and supporting New South Wales’ transition to a lower‑carbon electricity system.

As part of the grid connection and associated transmission infrastructure works, Transgrid engaged GFF Power/Arteche to design, manufacture and supply a combination of 362 kV Capacitive Voltage Transformers (CVTs), Capacitive Voltage Transformers with integrated Power Quality Monitors (WPQ), and Current Transformers (CTs). The equipment was engineered to meet Transgrid’s stringent technical and operational specifications, with a strong focus on measurement accuracy, power quality monitoring capability and long‑term reliability under variable wind generation conditions. The project required close coordination across engineering, manufacturing and logistics to align with construction and commissioning schedules.

SERVICES PROVIDED:

  • Design, manufacture and supply of Arteche capacitive voltage transformers with integrated power quality monitors and current transformers.
  • Ongoing project management, including provision of regular updates relating to anticipated delivery timeline.
  • Complete logistical assistance covering international freight, port clearance and delivery to site, including unloading.
  • Technical support as required by Trangrid throughout the project.

OUTCOMES:
All equipment was manufactured to AusNet Services specifications, produced in-line with the agreed schedule, and safely delivered to site per the project required timelines.
