Brendale BESS

PROJECT: Brendale BESS

CLIENT: Consolidated Power Projects Australia Pty Ltd (CPP)

LOCATION: Queensland

YEAR(S): 2024–2025

SCOPE: To design, manufacture and deliver 110kV Capacitive Voltage Transformers with integrated Power Quality Monitors

BACKGROUND:
Brendale BESS is a major grid‑scale battery project delivered by CPP in Brisbane’s rapidly growing northern metropolitan area. The asset supports Queensland’s Energy Storage Strategy by improving system stability, integrating renewable generation, and managing peak demand across key load centres.

Integrating a large‑scale BESS at the Brendale substation requires high‑accuracy, high‑reliability measurement equipment to ensure safe operation and robust grid support. As part of this scope, CPP engaged with GFF Power to supply Arteche 110kV Capacitive Voltage Transformers (CVTs) with integrated Power Quality Monitors engineered for precise performance under demanding network conditions.

The project required coordinated engineering, manufacturing, and logistics planning—aligned to CPP’s delivery program and the broader commissioning schedule for Queensland’s battery infrastructure.

SERVICES PROVIDED:

  • Design, manufacture and supply of Arteche 110kV capacitive voltage transformers with integrated power quality monitors.
  • Ongoing project management, including regular milestone and production updates.
  • Full logistical support: international freight, port clearance and safe delivery to site.
  • End‑to‑end technical support throughout the project lifecycle in collaboration with CPP.

OUTCOMES:
All equipment was designed and manufactured to CPP specifications, produced in line with the agreed schedule, and safely delivered to site through coordinated logistics planning.
